Our team
The people behind GB Freedom Party
GB Freedom Party is led by Kent residents who live, work and raise families in the same county we represent. Our officers are answerable to our members; our members live in the same streets as the people we ask to vote for us; and that’s the way we like it. This page introduces the people you’re trusting your vote to.
Party Leader and Founder
Daniel Dabin

Daniel Dabin founded GB Freedom Party in 2025 and serves as its Party Leader. He has lived in Kent for over twenty years and is the registered office holder for the party with the Electoral Commission (PP18062, registered office in Strood, Kent).
By profession, Daniel is an Independent Financial Adviser and wealth manager. He is a Director of London International Corporation Ltd, an FCA-authorised financial services firm (FCA reference 603072) advising private clients on investments, pensions, retirement and estate planning. His professional qualifications include CeFA, CeMAP, Cert PFS, DipFA and the CFA Institute’s Investment Management Certificate (IMC). After more than a decade managing money for individuals and families, he understands what happens to a household budget when council tax rises faster than wages and when public services are paid for but not delivered.
Daniel founded GB Freedom because the parties Kent already had — whichever colour they wore — were not taking the small things seriously. The potholes, the HMOs, the planning decisions handed down without local consent, the council tax bills climbing while bins go uncollected. He built GB Freedom the other way round: from Kent, by people who live in Kent, accountable to people in Kent.
Outside the party, Daniel is the editor of Kent Local News, an IMPRESS-regulated independent local news title published by his media company NHNN Ltd. The connection between his media and political roles is declared openly in the editorial transparency note below.
Daniel grew up reading newspapers, reading the prospectuses behind the products he was being sold, and asking the questions other people had stopped asking. GB Freedom is the political expression of those habits.
Daniel can be reached on daniel.dabin@gbfreedomparty.co.uk or via the contact form.
Editorial transparency
Our leader is also a journalist. We declare it.
Daniel Dabin is the leader of GB Freedom Party and the editor of Kent Local News (KLN), an independent, IMPRESS-regulated news title operated by NHNN Ltd. He is a single individual occupying both roles, and we believe readers and voters are entitled to know that.
Kent Local News applies the IMPRESS Standards Code uniformly to its coverage of every party active in Kent, including GB Freedom. KLN does not give GB Freedom favourable treatment in news coverage, and KLN’s coverage of any other party is not authored or directed by the GB Freedom leadership.
If you ever have a concern about KLN’s coverage of GB Freedom, or any other party, you can:
- raise it directly with the editor at editor@kentlocalnews.co.uk;
- read KLN’s corrections page;
- or, if not satisfied, complain to IMPRESS, the recognised press regulator.
We think that’s the right way to handle the overlap. We’d rather declare it on our front page than let anyone discover it later and treat it as a story.
Officers registered with the Electoral Commission
Party Leader, Treasurer and Nominating Officer
Under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (PPERA), every registered political party must publicly identify a Party Leader, a Treasurer, and a Nominating Officer. Their names are filed with the Electoral Commission and are part of the public register. GB Freedom’s officers are listed below.
Treasurer — Daniel Dabin
The Treasurer is the officer responsible to the Electoral Commission for the party’s compliance with the political-finance regime under PPERA. They sign off the annual statement of accounts, control the party’s donation and loan reporting, and authorise campaign expenditure at elections. Under our constitution, the Treasurer’s remit covers the entire party as a single accounting unit — we have no separate accounting units, by design, so that party finances remain transparent and centrally controlled.
Daniel Dabin currently holds the Treasurer post in addition to the Party Leader post. PPERA permits a single individual to hold both posts. The party will appoint a separate Treasurer at the point at which membership and elected representation make that the right governance step.
Nominating Officer (Deputy Leader) — Howard Bostridge
The Nominating Officer is responsible for arranging the formal nomination of GB Freedom candidates at elections and for approving the party identity marks (logo, party description) used on nomination forms and ballot papers. Under our constitution, the Nominating Officer also serves as the party’s Deputy Leader and steps in to lead the party in the event of any incapacity or resignation of the Party Leader, until a fresh leadership ballot is held.
Governance
Member-led, member-accountable
GB Freedom is governed by a National Executive Council (NEC), elected from and by the membership. The NEC consists of the three National Officers — Party Leader, Treasurer and Nominating Officer — together with up to ten additional members elected at a General Meeting of the party.
The NEC oversees party strategy, policy development and constitutional amendments. It convenes on the call of the Party Leader and Chair. Its quorum is two voting members. Its decisions are recorded and made available to the membership.
Beneath the NEC, our constitution provides for the establishment of local Branches, each of which elects its own officers and runs local campaigns within the framework set by the NEC. Branches are how GB Freedom shows up at council level: a Medway branch, a Maidstone branch, a Tunbridge Wells branch, each rooted in the area it represents.
The full text of our constitution is here: /our-constitution/. It is the version registered with the Electoral Commission and is the document we are bound by.
