Our Policies. Real solutions for a stronger Britain
GB Freedom Party stands for common-sense policies that put British citizens first. We believe in national sovereignty, personal liberty, and responsible governance. These are our six core policy commitments to the British people.
Complete Moratorium on Immigration
We will implement a complete moratorium on immigration for ten years to allow public services, housing, and infrastructure to recover. Britain must regain control of its borders and prioritise its own citizens.
Ban Woke and DEI Practices
We will end the ideological capture of public institutions. Divisive diversity, equity, and inclusion programmes will be abolished across government, education, and publicly funded organisations.
Tackle the Cost of Living Crisis
We will take decisive action to reduce energy bills, lower food costs, and make housing affordable. Read our full Energy & Storage policy below — the British-supply-chain plan that drives our cost-of-living approach.
Policy Four
Cut Taxes — National & Local
We will slash income tax, reduce council tax, and eliminate wasteful government spending. Lower taxes mean more money in your pocket and a thriving economy. We will cap public sector pay rises and cut bureaucratic waste to fund tax reductions for working people.

Policy Five
Restrict Taxpayer-Funded Benefits
We will reform the welfare system to ensure benefits go to those who genuinely need them. Taxpayer-funded support must be a safety net, not a lifestyle choice. We will introduce stricter eligibility criteria and time-limited support to encourage self-sufficiency.
Policy Six
Protect Our Environment
We believe in responsible stewardship of our natural heritage. We will protect the British countryside, ensure clean air and water, and support sustainable farming. Our environmental policy is grounded in common sense, not ideological extremism or net zero targets that punish working families.

Policy Seven
Energy & Storage — A Practical Path to Power
Britain’s energy is too expensive, too dependent on hostile nations, and unprepared for the AI-driven demand surge. Going fully green hands China a stranglehold on our grid; going fully fossil ignores reality. We propose a practical British third way: a Rolls-Royce-built nuclear backbone, domestic gas, strategic gas reserves rebuilt from 6% to 15% of annual demand (Germany stores 27%, the EU averages 25%), and battery storage that does not hand control of our infrastructure to Beijing. China currently controls 80%+ of battery production and 98%+ of LFP capacity — we will require no more than 40% of any battery deployment’s critical components to come from a single country, paired with British or allied-nation manufacturing investment.

Policy Eight
Kent Water Renewal — A Practical Path to Capacity
Britain’s water and sewage capacity is being overwhelmed by population growth and housing targets that ignore physical limits. Kent’s rivers fail Water Framework Directive standards, the South East is officially water-stressed, and 7,145 Kent homes are blocked at Stodmarsh because the river cannot absorb the nutrient load. We propose the Kent Water Renewal Programme: recycle wastewater for industrial, agricultural and public-infrastructure use — never the household tap — freeing existing freshwater capacity for households. The programme delivers 125 Ml/d of new non-domestic supply by 2045 for approximately £500 million, generates £25–40 million per year in revenue, and progressively rehydrates Kent’s chalk streams. Drinking water continues from the chalk aquifer and reservoirs unchanged.

Local Policies — Kent & Medway
Fighting for our communities at the local level. Common sense, not career politics.
1. Housing & HMOs — Protecting Our Communities
Too many of our streets are being hollowed out by unchecked HMO conversions and overdevelopment forced on us without the infrastructure to support it.
We will:
- Cap HMO licences per street and ward to stop entire neighbourhoods being turned into bedsits.
- Demand stricter landlord licensing and robust enforcement against rogue operators.
- Oppose overdevelopment — no to 28,000 new homes without the roads, schools, and GP surgeries to support them.
- Protect green belt land and enforce a brownfield-first building approach.
- Prioritise affordable housing for local residents and families with genuine ties to the area.
2. Public Safety & Policing — Restore Trust, Reform the Police
Public trust in policing has collapsed. A generation of politically-driven change has pulled the police away from their core job and left law-abiding people feeling judged, ignored, or policed for their opinions while real crime goes unanswered. The answer is not simply more police on the streets in their current state — it is a police service the public can believe in again. Our priority is reform and restoration: take the politics out, restore impartial common-sense policing, and rebuild the trust that has been lost.
We will:
- Take the politics out of policing — scrap the woke and DEI agenda. End diversity-and-inclusion box-ticking, political training and identity-based targets that pull officers away from their real work. Every pound and every hour should go on protecting the public and catching criminals — nothing else.
- One law for everyone — end two-tier policing. The police must enforce the law equally and impartially, judging people by their conduct alone, never by their race, religion or politics. No favoured groups and no scapegoated groups — the same law and the same protection for every citizen.
- Restore common-sense, back-to-basics policing. Restore the impartial policing that commanded public trust before John Major, undone by three decades of political interference, and return the police to their first duties — preventing and solving crime, protecting people and property, keeping the peace — with officers trusted to use their own judgement.
- Defend free speech. Stop police time being wasted policing lawful opinion and recording "non-crime hate incidents". The police should be chasing criminals, not law-abiding people for what they think or say.
- Reform first, then rebuild. We will not pretend that flooding the streets with more officers fixes a broken model. Trust has to be earned back first — only a reformed, impartial police service will make a visible police presence something the public welcomes again.
- Stand with victims and communities. Back the victims of crime with real action and proper follow-up, and tackle anti-social behaviour with a credible, effective response that residents can actually see working.
- Hold our force and Police & Crime Commissioner to account for delivering impartial, common-sense policing across Kent — and for ending the waste of public money on political agendas.
3. Local Government & Democracy — Save Medway's Council
Westminster and Whitehall want to merge our councils and strip away local control. We say no. Medway's decisions should be made in Medway, by people who live here.
We will:
- Fight against forced council mergers and reorganisation — keep Medway as a unitary authority.
- Champion genuine member democracy — our councillors answer to residents, not party bosses in Westminster.
- Demand transparent council spending — publish all expenditure over £500.
- Give residents a real say in decisions that affect their communities, through proper public consultation.
4. Council Tax & Public Finances — Your Money, Your Say
Working families in Kent are already stretched to breaking point. Council tax keeps rising while services get worse.
We will:
- Freeze council tax — families cannot keep absorbing above-inflation rises.
- Cut waste and vanity projects that serve politicians and consultants, not the people who pay the bills.
- Prioritise frontline services over expensive consultants, quangos, and middle-management layers.
- Introduce annual public budget consultations so residents have a direct say in how their council tax is spent.
5. Local Services & Infrastructure — Kent's Party, Medway's Voice
Our roads are full of potholes, our community spaces are under threat, and basic services are being cut while council executives collect six-figure salaries.
We will:
- Fix roads and potholes with clear accountability targets and public reporting.
- Protect community centres and green spaces from closure and sell-off to developers.
- Improve public roads across Medway and Kent so residents and businesses can move freely.
- Oppose cuts to bin collections and recycling services — these are basic expectations, not luxuries.
6. Immigration — A Ten-Year Moratorium
Britain’s public services — GP surgeries, school places, social housing, and the utilities and infrastructure beneath them — are under sustained strain, and Kent feels it acutely. GB Freedom Party’s position is clear: we call for a blanket ten-year moratorium on immigration. We cannot responsibly continue an open-door policy that overcrowds our services and utilities, drives up costs for taxpayers, and damages our environment, while the communities already here are left worse off. Until the pressure on services and the cost to the public purse are properly resolved, further immigration cannot be justified. A decade-long pause gives the country the time to rebuild capacity, restore services, and put the people who already live here first. And when the moratorium ends, the open door does not reopen: all future immigration will be subject to strict border controls and firm annual caps, set in the national interest — so that uncontrolled, mass open-border immigration can never happen again.
We will:
- Campaign for a ten-year moratorium on immigration — until our public services, housing, utilities and infrastructure have the capacity to cope and the costs to the taxpayer are back under control.
- Put strict border controls and firm caps in place for the future — so that when the moratorium ends, all immigration is properly controlled and limited, and mass open-border immigration can never return.
- Demand binding local impact assessments — on services, housing, utilities and the environment — before any Government-imposed dispersal or placement can take effect, with every analysis published to residents.
- Insist that decisions about our area are made by the people who live here — not imposed from Whitehall or by unaccountable agencies.
- Put long-term residents first in access to housing, GP appointments and school places, so they are never disadvantaged by Government-imposed inflows.
- Push for full transparency on every dispersal decision affecting Kent, including which sites and providers are involved.
